Tips for Winter Brides + Snowy Mountain Bridal Session

My sister and her cute fiance all dressed up for the prettiest bridal session EVER. I’ll admit, I hate shooting in the cold, but my couples are so worth it. I’m seriously drooling over all of these. It was the most perfect winter wonderland for this winter bride!

Taking bridals or engagements in the snow? Here are my tips to keep warm!

  • Hold hand warmers with your bouquet to keep your hands warm and put some in the groom’s pockets!
  • Wear wool socks and warm boots and cover them up with your dress. Save your wedding shoes for a shot at the end of the session so your feet don’t freeze.
  • Bring your mom, sister, or friend with you if you can! They can be super helpful to keep you warm. Have them hold your coat for you to put on in between shots when you walk to a new spot for photos.

  • Dress warm! Wearing a long coat, wool socks, high boots, a beanie, and gloves will save you.
  • Put hand warmers in your pockets or toe warmers in your boots.
  • Have snow shoes? Bring them just in case so you don’t sink in the snow.
